Please read the following guidelines and disclaimers:

  1. The data provided herein are to be credited to the U.S. Naval Observatory and Copenhagen University Observatory in any application. Please cite one of the appropriate publication(s).
  2. The data are provided with no warranty as to usefulness or suitability for a given application.
  3. The data provided here are available from the USNO to anyone who requests it, provided the request can be filled without impact on mission-related programs.

Originally, the data reduced during the Astrographic Catalogue project were made available as each zone was completed. However, as the project neared completion it became obvious that users needed a combined, cohesive catalog. So, the data from the zones have been combined. The first version of this combined catalogue, called AC 2000.1, was distributed to the international data centers and was also available on CD-ROM. The second (and latest) version, called AC 2000.2, was produced by the U.S. Naval Observatory and the Copenhagen University Observatory. CDs are available through the U.S. Naval Observatory by contacting Sean Urban using seu AT usno.navy.mil. Please include a mailing address.

For those wishing to obtain data over the Web, be aware that the data files are large. They are about 5 to 10 Mbytes compressed, and about four times that size uncompressed.
